Vaccination of influenza vaccine and its related factors during pandemic of influenza in China

  • Objective To examine the situation of influenza vaccine vaccination and its related factors during influenza pandemic for the improvement of influenza vaccination coverage to control influenza pandemic in future.Methods We conducted a telephone interview in nine areas in China.Results The effective response rate in this survey was 46.8%.The accept ance rate of influenza AH1N1vaccine was higher than that of the seasonal influenza vaccine,and the influenza vaccine vaccination was associated with age,profession,education background,residence,and the time of the interview.Among the responders without influenza vaccine vaccination,62.22% thought "there is no need to accept the seasonal influenza vaccine",and 62.53% didn't accept influenza A/H1N1 vaccine because "no one was informed to take the vaccination".Conclusion The vaccination rate of influenza A/H1N1 vaccine was better than that of seasonal influenza vaccine,and the public know little about seasonal influenza vaccine.
