Abstract
Objective To investigate the correlation between apolipoprotein C-Ⅰ(ApoCⅠ) gene rs4420638 polymorphism and blood lipids level among healthy adults in Bama county. Methods A total of 369 healthy adults were randomly selected from Bama county of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and 216 healthy adults without familial history of longevity were selected as controls from a county near Bama and with similar environmental conditions. The genotypes of ApoCⅠ(rs4420638) were detected with TaqMan real-time quantitative PCR.The differences in allele frequencies and blood lipid level between the adults of Bama county and the controls were analyzed. Results The frequency of allele G of ApoCⅠgene rs4420638 among the adults in Bama county was lower than that of the controls(P=0.002).The level of high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C) was significantly higher in the adults of Bama county than that in the controls(P<0.01).The level of total cholesterol(TC) of Bama adults being rs4420638 G allele carriers was lower than that of the controls(P<0.05) and the level of HDL-C of Bama adults being rs4420638 A allele carriers was higher than that of the controls(P<0.01).Conclusion ApoCⅠrs4420638 polymorphism may associate with blood lipids level in healthy adults of Bama county.
