Research progress in assessment methods of non-suicidal self-injurious behavior among adolescents

  • Objective Non-suicidal self-injury(NSSI), occurring at significant rates within school-based samples of children and adolescents worldwide and being one of the strongest predictors of completed suicide, is now recognized as one of pervasive public health concerns.But the understanding of NSSI is not uniform and many methods for the evaluation of NSSI have been established.Here we summarize recent development on assessment methods of NSSI behavior in adolescents to provide a basis for in-depth understanding of researches on NSSI behavior in adolescents.
