Effect of angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitory peptides on function of human umbilical vascular endothelial cells

  •   Objective   To study the effect of angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitory peptides(ACEIP)on the function of human umbilical vascular endothelial cells.
Methods   Different doses of ACEIP(150, 300, 600 μg/ml)was acted on the vascular endothelial cells and then growth experiment of cells was carried out.The amount of nitric oxide(NO)and endothelins (ET)in culture media were measured.
Results   Campared with the control group, the amount of NO in the culture media of different ACEIP groups were higher and the amount of ET was lower.Additionaly, the function of noradrenalin that promoting the amount of ET in culture media and reducing the amount of NO could be countermined by the ACEIP.
Conclusion   ACEIP have the function of protecting the vascular endothelium cells.
