Chromosome aberration in Chinese Hamster Lung Cells induced by Octachlorodipropyl Ether

  Objective   To explore the effects of octachlorodipropyl ether (S₂)on chromosome aberration in CHL Cells.

  Methods   To deter mine the IC₅₀ of S₂ on CHL cells, then to establish the scope of doses acco rding to the IC₅₀ and to do cells Chromosome aberration.According to the standard positive response the results were judged.

  Results   Marginal positive response was found at 24 h after the treatment with S₂.Positive responses were found at 48h after treatment or at 6 h after the addition of S-9 mixture.

  Conclusion   S₂ could induce Chromosome aberration in CHL cells.
