Effects of parents' quality of life on psychological development of school-age children

  •   Objective   To probe the effects of parents' quality of life on psychological development of school-age children.
      Methods   Combined Raven's Test(CRT-C2), Eysenck Personality Questionnaire(EPQ)and Achenbach Childrens' Behavior Checkilst (CBCL) were applied to 1961 children aged from 7 to 12, and WHO QOL-BREF questionnaire were administrated to their parents.
      Results   There was significant difference between the parents' quality of life in the city and country, and the parents' quality of life had significant effect on children's intelligence and personality development, especially the domain of Physical and Psychological(P < 0.001).Four domains have obvious effect on children's behavioral development.
      Conclusion   The parents' quality of life is a very important influential factor of children's psychological development.To promote children's psychological health level, it is necessary to improve the family member's quality of life, especially in the country.
