Study on regulation of schistosoma infection in flood year

  Objective   To probe the regulation of schistosoma infection of people during different period of time in the flood year.

  Methods   To investigate the basic prevalence situation before the infection season, and examine the people by the methods of kato-katz and hatching in the early period of flood, flood period and later period of flood respectively in the flood year.To calculate the infection rate and infectiosity.

  Results   The infection rate of people in the early period of flood, flood period and later period of flood was 0.57%, 0.70% and 4.43% respectlvely.The infection rate of people in the later period of flood was higher than thatin the early period of flood(χ²=26.94, P < 0.01)and flood period(χ²=27.80, P < 0.01)remarkably.

  Conclusion   The later period of flood was the mainly per iod for the infection of people in the river beach endemic.Control measures should be increased in the later period of flood in the flood year.
