Effects of As2O3 on micronucleus in peripheral blood erythrocytes of monopterus albus

  •   Objective   To study the influence of the different concentration of As2O3 on micronuclei and nuclear abnormity in peripheral blood erythrocytes of monoopterus albus.
      Methods   The test of fish mutagenesis is used to assay the rate of micronucleus and nuclear anomaly in peripheral blood erythro cytes, and CAT activity of monopterus albus as mutagen of 0.25, 0.50, 0.75, 1.00 and 1.50 mg/kg different concentration of As2O3.
      Results   The rate of micronuclei and the rate of nuclear abnormity at 0.50 mg/kg are higher than that at 0.25 mg/kg.When the dosage is 0.75 mg/kg, the rate of nuclear anomalies is lower than that of the negative group, but the difference is not marked.The rate of nuclear abnormity r ises markedly and the rate of micronuclei doesn't rise markedly at the dosage of 1.00 and 1.50 mg/kg.The 4 doses of As2O3 from 0.25 As2O3 to 1.00 mg/kg have an activation effect on CAT.
      Conclusion   The effect of As2O3 has two sides on peripheral blood erythrocytes of monopterus albus.As2O3 has an activation effect on CAT.
