Objective To study smoking behaviors and its related factors among current high school students.
Methods Across-sectional study was conducted among 995 high school students which were selected by stratified random sampling and a standardized selfadministr ated questionnaire was desig ned to abtain information on smoking.
Results Students' smoking behavior was related to many factors.Family members.quarrelling, time of staying home alone, study merit, inducing smoking of best friends, number of peers and good friends smoking, the attitude to refuse other people's cigarettes and give guests cigarettes at home are risk factors of experimental smoking.
Conclusion The comprehensive intervention measures should be implemented to prevent and control high school students smoking from families, schools and society, etc.
