Case-control study on risk factors for rheumatoid arthritis

  Objective   To research risk factors of Rheumatoid Arthritis(RA).

  Methods   A 1:1 case-control study on 120 RA patients were matched with 120 healthy controls by sex and age(not beyond ±3 years old).Logistic regression models were used to analyze the relationships between factors and RA.

  Results   RA had some relations with multifactor.Tasteless, broad-mined, easy agitating, stream nearby were the same related factors for male and female RA patients.Moreover, as a protective factor, broad-mined entered the Logistic regression equation stepwise.Risk factors for male RA patients were less than female's, but except factors related female.Furthermore results of Logistic stepwise regression analyses confirmed this.

  Conclusion   Broad-mined and tasteless were the same related factors for male and female RA patients.Female RA patients had some relations with more risk factors than male.
