Register and cohort analysis on pulmonary tuberculosis in Hangzhou from 1992 to 2002

  Objective   To know about the register antd cure situation on pulmonary tuber culosis in Hangzhou in the past eleven years, and provide the technology policy of continuous development for TB control.

  Methods   To register TB case and cure cohort analysis according to the report systems from 1992 to 2002 in Hangzhou.

  Results   In the past eleven years, 33 734 cases were registered.The proportion of smear positive cases in activity cases was raised from 24.73% in 1992 to 36.04% in 2002.The new register rate of smear positive cases was raised from 12.26/10⁵ in 1992 to 19.78/10⁵ in 2002, the cure rate was raised from 81.32% in 1992 to 90.3% in 2001.

  Conclusion   Hangzhou was getting the anticipative in the control of tuberculosis.
