Study on mechanism of ginsenosides in strengthening organic heat tolerance

  •   Objective   To study the mechanism of GSS strengthening organic heat tolerance.
      Methods   Rats were divided into heat-injured group and the control group.The rats in heat-injured groups were fed by 20, 10, 5 mg/ml GS and distilled water separately, 2 ml×10 d.The content of β-EP in hypothalamic, pituitary, plasma, ACTH and GC in plasma were determined by the radioimmunassay.
      Results   (1) The concentration of β-EP in hypothalamic was higher in heat-injured +20 mg/ml GSS group than that in heat-injured group(P < 0.05).The concentration of β-EP in pituitary was higher in heat-injured+20, 10 mg/ml GSS group than that in heat-injured group(P < 0.05, P < 0.01).The concentration of β-EP in plasma was higher in heat-injured+10 mg/ml GSS group than that in heat-injured group(P < 0.05).(2)The plasma concentration of ACTH and GC was not altered by GSS.
      Conclusion   Adjustment of concentration of hypothalamic, pituitary, plasma B-EP may be one of the mechanisms of GSS streng thening or ganic heat to lerance.Perhaps it would be the best dosage ginsenosides.
