Distribution and influencing factor of injuries among middle and primary school students

  Objective   To investigate the level and the epidemiological feature of injuries in order to find out the effective intervention for preventing injuries.

  Methods   With a stratified sampling method, a self-designed questionnaire was used to investigate injuries among 30791 middle and primary school students. Multivariate logistic regression analysis was performed by all factors.

  Results   There were 12 kinds of injuries, the total rate of injuries was 31.57%.The results of multivariate logistic analysis showed that type of school, address of school, sex, parent's occupations, living with whom were risk factors of the injuries.

  Conclusion   Injuries affected the study and health of middle and primary school students. It was necessary to strengthen safety education and breed their consciousness of self-protection among the students.
