Objective To make sure whether there is any association between genetic polymorphism of tumor necrosis factor receptor Ⅱ(TNFⅡ)exon 6 and systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE).
Methods PCR-RFLP was used.A population-based study was carried out including 34 SLE patients and 66 health controls.
Results The TNFⅡ exon6 R allele frequency of cases is significantly different from that of controls(35.3% vs 21.2%;OR=2.03, 95% CI: 1.01-4.08;χ2=4.63, P=0.031).The subjects with TNFⅡ exon6 R allele tend to be more susceptible to SLE than those without.
Conclusion The subjects with TNFⅡ exon6 R allele tend to be more susceptible to SLE than those without.
