Analysis on status of safe delivery

  •   Objective   To evaluate the effect of the Unicef and MOH.s primary health care program in rural area by investiga-t ing the health care, which women received before the delivering and after delivering, and analyze the factors which influence the rate of delivery in hospital, and develop the effective methods to enhance the safe delivery.
      Methods   Multistage sampling and stratified sampling were used and information was gathered by interview with questionnaires.
      Results   Rate of antenatal care was 97.1%, and the main place of antenatal care was township hospitals(53.7%).The rate of delivery in hospitaL was increased from 28.6% in 1999 to 76.1% in 2002, and the main delivery spot was transferred from home to township hospitals, township hospitals or higher-level hospitals, at the same time, the expenditure of delivery also rose year by year.
      Conclusion   The public health education produced certain impact, but publicity and further education were still supposed to be enforced to make sure the pregnant women's safe delivery.The cost of delivery in hospital also should be cut down to guarantee the pregnant women.s enthusiasm of delivery in hospital.
