Study on self-controlling of blood pressure in communities' patients with hypertension

  •   Objective   To investigate the status of self contro lling of blood pressure in patients with hypertension in Beijing communities, and to provide scientific basis for strengthening self-management.
      Methods   Cross-sectional population sample was studied in Beijing communities, and a total of 4 056 patients with hypertensin participated in the survey.
      Results   (1) The rate of compliance in patients with anti-hypertensive therapy was 61.78%, which grew with the growth of age and economic income of patients.(2)In patients with hypertension, the rate of decreasing inception of salt was 61.78%, the rate of controlling avoirdupois was 34.20%, the rate of taking exercises was 55.99%, and the rate of drinking was 17.95%.(3) The frequency of measuring blood pressure grew with the growth of age and education level in patients with hypertension.
      Conclusion   Because hypertension was a sort of chronic diseases, the patients should strengthen self-management to control the state of hypertension.
