DNA-polymorphism in Aγ-globin

  Objective   To study DNA-polymorphism in the AC-globin.

  Methods   The PCR-RFLP was adopted to study 35 Japanese DNA-polymorphism of AC-globin.

  Results   AC-Gg ^*1 homozy gote phenoty pefrequency was 0.114 3, AC-Gg ^*2 homozygote phenot ype frequency was 0.285 7, AC-Gg ^*1/AC-Gg ^*2 heterozygote phenotype frequency was 0.60, AC-Gg ^*1 gene frequency was 0.414 3, AC-Gg ^*2 gene frequency was 0.585 7 and gene sites suited to Hardy-Weiner gequilibrium.

  Conclusion   This augmentation system well distributed in the Japanese population.
