Historical cohort study on child sensory integrative dysfunction

  Objective   To observe dynamic change of child sensory integrative dysfunction(SID)in 6 years, to explore the cause and risk factors of SID, and to provide scientific evidence for SID early intervention.

  Methods   Three hundred and ten kindergarten children in Beijing were investigated twice by "the Child Sensory Integration Check List" during 6-year follow-up study.A historical cohort study was further confirmed the risk factors of SID which were screened out by single variat and multivariate analysis.

  Results   The cumulative incidence rate of SID was 33.6%.The results of single variable and multivariable conditional logistic regession analysis indicated moderate association between gestation edema diseases during infancy, father's age(≥34)and SID, and there was mild association between abnormal fetus position and SID.

  Conclusion   The risk factors of child SID were mainly biological factors.Comprehensive intervention should be conducted to children.
