Development of Quantitation Method for Apolipoprotein B-48 in Triacylglycerol-rich lipoproteins

By using a specific antiserum for apolipoprotein B-48 in a competitive, enzyme linked immuno sorbent assay(ELISA), we developed the quantitatiion method for apolipoprotein B-48 in triacylgly cerol-rich lipoproteins. The antiserum act as an effective immunob lotting agent and its use in this ELISA indicates that the antiserum recognizes the C-term inalregion of the protein on the surface of lipopro tein particles. Validation of the assay, included intra and inter-assay reproducibility, sensitivity,parallelism, recovery of a know namountofapo B-48 form aspiked sample and crossre activity, were performed on the ELISA.
