Abstract:
With the intensification of population aging, chronic diseases have become one of the major public health problems facing China. Obtaining and using authoritative health information is the foundation of chronic disease management. Currently, the channels for middle-aged and elderly patients with chronic diseases to obtain health information are increasingly diversified, but incorrect and false information is prevalent, and the health information discrimination ability of this population is relatively weak. In order to promote the rational use of health information by middle-aged and elderly patients with chronic diseases, this article systematically summarizes the current research progress on health information authority identification behavior (including behaviors in two aspects: health information trust evaluation and health information adoption evaluation) among middle-aged and elderly patients with chronic diseases at home and abroad based on authority theory.
