Abstract: Objective To investigate the prevalence of diabetes in Yuncheng area of Shanxi province and analyze the correlative factors of diabetes,and propose relevantm easures of prevention and treatnent.Methods 4381 subjects were selected by random clustering sampling and their basic infoun anon such as age,sex,drinking,sm oking,working,diet were collected The data of the patients with diabetes was compared with that of the nounal's in order to make a retrospectives analysis.Results The total prevalence of diabetes was 3.0% (male 3.3%,female 2.7%).The rate of a wareness was 65.1%.Low income,family history,fatness,lack of physical activity,low rate of awareness and high diastolic pressure were the risk factors of diabetes incidence.Conclusion The prevalence of diabetes in Yuncheng area of Shanxi province is high The occurrence of diabetes could be decreased by the control of the risk factors.
