Abstract: Objective To study the wllingness to accept circumcision and its influence factors among floating population in Chongqing city.Methods Totally 750 floating males selected with random cluster sampling were surveyed with a self-administered questionnaire.Results There were 41.07% of the floating persons likely to accept the circumcision. Persons aged 22-29 years(P=0.02)and with the education level of college or higher(P=0.000)were more likely to accept circumcision.Regression analysis showed the influence factors of accepting circumcision were the know ledge of wrapping grow or phimosis inducing urinary tract infection(odds ratioOR=7.949,95% confidence intervalCI:1.29748.729),know ledge of surgical complications of circumcision(OR=0.111,95% CI:0.022-0.575);know ledge of wrapping grow or phimosis(OR=4826.936,95% CI:590.718-3 942 860),and having sexual behaviour during previous month (OR=72.02,95% CI:5.428-955.570).Conclusion There is a high acceptance rate of circumcision among floating male population in Chongqing area but the prevallence of circumcision is low because of the lack of relavent know ledge in the population.
