Abstract:
Objective To investigate the satisfaction to medical service and its influencing factors among inpatients having the medication which could not be reimbursed by the local medical care system in Guangdong province and to analyze obstacles for medication with cross-region reimbursement for making relevant strategies.
Methods With convenient sampling, we conducted a questionnaire survey among 6 000 patients hospitalized in all designated medical institutions providing medication with cross-region reimbursement during August 2017 in Guangdong province. We used descriptive analysis, chi-square test, and binary logistic regression in data analyses.
Results Of the 5 786 participants providing valid information, 84.0% (4 861) were satisfactory to the medication they received and 16.0% (925) were unsatisfactory. The results of logistic regression analysis revealed that main influencing factors of satisfaction to medication with cross-region reimbursement were admission procedure, hospital environment, convenience of medication, awareness of relevant regulations, and direct settlement of cost for medication with cross-region reimbursement (P < 0.05 for all).
Conclusion The satisfaction to medical service among inpatients without locality medical care remains to be improved by popularizing relevant regulations, perfecting service attitude of medical personnel, upgrading medication quality, and optimizing direct settlement system for medication with cross-region reimbursement.
