Abstract: China's public health and clinical medical education were seriously separated. The outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID - 19) and practices against the pandemic have all emphasized the importance of public health education and effective integration of treatment and prevention. In this paper, we compared the medical education system, the public health education and graduate medical education in China and the United Kingdom and provided suggestions for the reform and development of medical education in China through drawing on the experience of medical education in the UK according to actual domestic situation.
