Abstract:
Objective To investigate the kinet ic proper ties of potassium channel in human neutr ophils.
Methods Plasma membr ane K
+ currents were studied using the cell-attached mode of patch-clamp method.
Results Two distinct K
+ currents obser ved was the voltage-dependent K
+ current, its conductance was about 56pS;the other was voltage-independent,the amplitude of current was about-7pA.The channel was act ivated at -60mV holding potent ial, which was the resting membr ane potential of neurtophils. The open probability decreasd away from this holding potential.
Conclusion Two distinct K
+ currents including voltage-dependent and voltage-independent current are in the human neutrophils. There are close relationship between the potassium channels and the function of PMNS.
