Abstract:
Objective To explore the role of Bcl-2 positive cells of different sections of hippocampus on lead-induced neurotox icity.
Methods Immune histochemistry was applied to observe variety of numbers of Bcl-2 positive neurons in CA1 and CA3 of rats, which were caused by injecting venter imuslead acetate of 130mg/kg.
Results After 12h,the number of Bcl-2 positive neurons of CA1 of lead-induced rats was(126.05±33.21);As for 24h,the number was(57.45±37.66); Both of them were significantly less than that of control rats(201.94±31.72)(
P<0.05).There were no difference between lead-induced rats and control one in CA3,neither were in CA1(
P>0.05).
Conclusion The lead-induced neurotoxicity may attribute to decreasing numbers of Bcl-2 positive neurons in CA1 of hippocampus in rats.
