Methods The self-designed questionnaire were filled by 162 feeders from the breed-sites in 5 towns,where over 1000 fowls were fed perennially and the difference of the self-defence sense was compared and analyzed among the different groups.
Results The investigation including 11 subjects concerning the self-defence sense of avian-human influenza showed that 52.13% feeders held good self-defence sense.There was significant difference in the sense of human avian influenza self-defence among the feeders with various education and years of work(the former χ
2=110.98,
P<0.01 and the latter χ

Conclusion The feeders need to raise their self-defence sense of avian-human influenza further and there are lots of hidden trouble in avian-human influenza occurrence and spread.More attention should be paid on propaganda and education and rules implementation.
