Abstract: Objective To investigate the know ledge about sex ually-transmited diseases(STD)and AIDS among the female college students.Methods Female college students were sampled by cluster sampling and investigated by using questionnaire survey on ano nymous basis in Wuhan.Results A total number of 4 770 students were surveyed.More than 64.51% had the concerning AIDS,dap and syphilis,and over 88.88% had the knowledge about the three transmited routs of HIV.Except lower rate of awareness of homosexuality,over 70.74% of the students had knowledge abouthigh risk crowd and high risk behavior of infected HIV.But 30.67% of the studenthad a wrong idea that the mosquito could transmit the HIV.Only 0.82% of them knew "action of 100% condom",and only 26.58% of them know that "women being infected easily by HIV than men in sex ually behavior".Conclusion The female college studenthad some knowledge about sex ually-transmited diseases and AIDS,but further education was needed.
