Abstract: Objective To know the present status of using condom correctly in female commercial sex workers in different layers entertainments and pr ovide the scientific evidence for promoting 100% using condom correctly among such population roundly.Methods Convenience sampling method was adopted to choose a certain amounts of entertainments.Questionnaire investigation which was designed by ourselves was launched to survey all the commercial sex workers in each enter tainment.The main investigating contents included the knowledge and behav ior of using the condom correctly,the rates of using condomin the last time and recent three times;Questionnaire investigation was combined with the mould demo nstration to evaluate the rate of using condom correctly.Results 103 female commercial sex workers were investigated;The subjects from eachlayers entertainments was lacked in the knowledge of using the condom correctly and the rate of using the condom correctly was 6.3%;The phenomena of condom shedding or cracking were ubiquitous in each layersenter tainments.The rates of using condom at the last time and recent three times among the people who were from the medium layer entertainments were lower than those from the starhotels,and the differences had statistical significance(χ²=31.33,P<0.001;χ²=4.66,P<0.001).Conclusion Female commercial sex workers are generally lack in the know ledge of using condom correctly and the rate of using condom correctly is very low.It is urgent to strengthen propagation and education about the know ledge of using condom correctly and improve the rate of using condom correctly among the commercial sex workers.
