Abstract: Objective By calculating healthy life years caused by coronary heart disease in China to identify population and region athigh risk,and to provide a scientific basis for the prevention of the disease.Methods Data on the mortality of coronary heart disease all over the country were sorted according to region,age and gender.Then disability adjusted life years(DALY)index was used to calculate the loss of healthy life years.Results The research showed that DALYs of coronary heart disease in China were 139 9531 9479 person year(31 72/1 000 person year).Years of life lost due to premature death(YLLs)were 130 7531 95 person year and years lived with disability(YLDs)were 9 19912788 person year,which mostly concentrated at the ages group of 70~80.The DALY of the male was higher than that of the female,and the DALY of the urban patients was higher than that of the rur al.Conclusion The loss of healthy life years of coronary heart disease was mainly caused by death.More attention should be paid to male and urban residents.
