Abstract: Objective To understand awareness,attitude and related behavior changes of hypertension and diabetes in patients receiving community health service(CHS)in Chengdu city.Methods A survey was carried out by means of smiple random sampling and the awareness,attitude and related behavior of hypertension and diabetes were analyzed using descriptive method and χ² test.Results In the hypertention patients investigated,the right awareness rate of normal blood pressure was 48.9%;the rate of complying with general practitioner(GP)was 90.9%;the most behavior change was the regular life(93.0%).In diabetes patients,the right awareness rate of normal blood sugar was 35.4%;the rate of complying with GP was 94.2%;the most behavior change was having more exercise(62.4%).The rate of complying with GP was lower in patients unemployed and self-employed individuals(χ²=66.615,P<0.01;χ²=18.076,P<0.01).Conclusion The right awareness rate for normal blood pressure was higher than that of normal blood sugar and the behavior changes of hypetension patients was higher than that of diabetes patients among patients reveiving CHS.
