Abstract:
ObjectiveTo investigate the status of health knowledge and its influencing factors among peasant-workers in Dongcheng district,Dongguan city for the development of health education program.
MethodsThe health know ledge questionnaire was designed with Green's mode.A total of 1 500 peasant-workers living in Dongcheng district more than 6 months were investigated with a face-to-face interview.The data were input with Epidata and analyzed with SAS9.0.
ResultsTotally 1473 qualified questionnaires were collected.The average awareness ratio and score of health knowledge were 85.23% and 25.245±3.825.The factors significantly influencing health know ledge status were sex,age,education level, number of child in the family,family income per capita a year,and time of work in Dongguan.
ConclusionThe peasant workers with younger age,lower education,small number of family member,less time in Dongguan,and low income per capica are key population for health education.
