Abstract:
Objective To explore the mechanism of self-efficacy in relation to role stress and subjective job stress among university grtaduate village officials.
Methods Totally 486 college student village officials were investigated with a role stress questionnaire, subjective job stress scale, and self-efficacy scale.Hierarchical multiple regression analysis and multiple regression were conducted to determine the mechanism of self-efficacy.
Results There were 12.8% of the college students with severe role stress and 12.1% of them with job stress. The male students had higher scores in self-efficiency,role stress and job stress than the female(
P< 0.05).The interaction between self-efficacy and role stress was a significant predictor for subjective job stress. After the introduction of self-efficacy,the standard regression coefficient of role stress to subjective job stress dropped from 0.455 to 0.401.
Conclusion For the contribution of role stress to job stress, self efficacy serves as a moderator and a mediator. The role stress and job stress should be concerned for university graduate village officials.
