Abstract: While¹ bacteria are responsible for many diseases of many and animals,it is important to recognize that² only relatively few bacteria are capable of producing disease: the majority are u-nable to multiply in the tissues, and are readily disposd of³ by the normal deferce mechanisms of the body.
